wheel chairs this Christmas
This Christmas I had the pleasure helping some friends measure disabled children for wheel chairs in surrounding villages near Cahul. A group of Moldovans living in London raised money through their church and network of friends and will be coming back here with wheel chairs and supplies for these beloved kids at the beginning of February.

I don't know quite what to say. The now familiar sounds of the villages transported me back to Moldova. I am humbled by the stories and videos of the young and old who survive with disabilites in a nation where daily life is already tough. Dear God, thank you for renewing the strength of these families day by day. Thank you for new wheelchairs and the people you have pulled together to mobilize this mission. Please make a way for specialized care for those who are in need of more assistance. Thank you for helping these people to persevere in difficult circumstances. Thank you for bringing new hope. May hope abound. In Jesus name, Amen.
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful that you were able to serve in this capacity. I am thankful that we believe in a God of service, especially when realizing the vast need globally; a Deity that proclaimed "
ReplyDelete" the blind regain their sight, the lame walk, lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the poor have the good news proclaimed to them. And blessed is the one who takes no offense at me."There is hope in these hopeless situations because of the one in whose path we follow, still the same one whose sandals we are not worthy to carry. Sending love and prayers to you both....
